On Monday, May 7th, 2018, WTAE news ran a story regarding a fatal fire in the northern part of Allegheny County. In that story, it was revealed that a neighboring fire department very close to the scene was not called to assist but several companies farther away were called. The North Fayette Twp VFD would like to reassure all citizens of our North Fayette community that all our alarm assignments (Also known as Run Cards) are set up so the closest companies to the scene are called to assist when necessary. During the daylight hours when manpower can be low, we sometimes call for two of the closest companies to the scene to assist if needed. In the event any changes are made to the North Fayette Township Alarm Assignments for any reason, those changes are discussed with township leaders before being submitted to the county 911 center.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to Gary Hamilton, North Fayette Township Fire Official & Fire Chief of the North Fayette Twp VFD. at 412-788-4888.
