Did you know that we are staffed by 100% volunteers and that all of our members have regular jobs and families as well? In addition to answering emergency calls, our members also devote countless hours towards fund raisers, fire prevention at schools and daycares, trainings, meetings, and station and vehicle maintenance. As you could imaging, it takes many volunteers and significant financial support to continue to provide the fire service and fire protection you deserve.

Due to the community growth, our department responded to nearly 100 more emergency calls in 2006 than the previous year in 2005. As you can imagine, the fire and rescue service is very costly to operate, and as the community continues to expand, we must do our best to continue providing the level of service that is expected of a department.

In addition to the much needed financial support from the community, we must continue to expand our membership to maintain a 100% volunteer department. Although the main function of the department is responding to emergencies, we also have many needs and opportunities to serve in support positions that do not require firefighter training or responding to emergencies.
